I am currently using Fontographer and I do like it, but I was wondering if anyone knew of a font software that can use straight up pictures as font characters. Is there such a thing out there? How much is the cost? What are some of your favorite font softwares? If someone could help me out it would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Welcome to the forum. I think you are on the right track with fontographer for creating fonts from pictures. However, I think it is really for vector illustrations to use as a font. Normally, I see stuff like logos and stuff like a little icon as a story ending that a publisher uses repeatedly, stuff like that using monochrome vector art and converting it to a font for easy and repeated use in publications.

As for the font software to use for activating/de-activating fonts, managing libraries, my recommendation is Suitcase. For cleaning libraries, organizing, repairing, de-duping fonts etc. I now use Font Doctor. I used to use Font Agent, and found it to be a very good tool for that use, I haven't tried their newest versions but would expect Font Agent to be very good stuff. Main reason I like Suitcase is its font activation is best for PDF workflow automation, and its database is very effective with huge font libraries.

I would like to find a free or inexpensive software to print font samples. I have somthing that prints each font on a full page. But I would like to print the alphabet and numbers of 10 or 15 fonts per page.
